In a thrilling Tuesday evening matchup at the United Center, Chicago Bulls‘ DeMar DeRozan achieved a significant milestone, solidifying his place in NBA history.

The game against the Denver Nuggets witnessed DeRozan ascending on the all-time scoring list, surpassing Hall of Famer Clyde Drexler.

Starting the game with 22,183 career points, DeRozan’s contributions on the court propelled him to the 35th spot on the esteemed scoring list, surpassing Drexler’s 22,195 points. Despite DeRozan’s noteworthy achievement, the Bulls faced a setback, losing to the Nuggets with a final score of 114-106.

DeRozan’s overall performance was noteworthy, tallying 14 points, five rebounds, six assists, one steal, and two blocks. The former USC star’s efforts, however, were not enough to secure a victory for the Bulls. The team’s record now stands at 9-16, placing them as the 12th seed in the Eastern Conference.

The Bulls, currently on a two-game losing streak, hold a 7-7 record in the 14 games played on their home court in Chicago. Looking forward, they aim to bounce back in their next game against the Miami Heat in Florida on Thursday.

On the opposing side, the Denver Nuggets extended their winning streak, improving their season record to 16-9. As the fourth seed in the Western Conference, the Nuggets are set to host the Brooklyn Nets in their upcoming game on Thursday. DeRozan’s historic achievement has not only added a significant chapter to NBA records but has also intensified the competition as both teams look ahead to their respective matchups.
