Additional $11.88 Million Mocaverse Funds : Animoca Brands Ensures Web3 Empowerment

Animoca Brands has secured an additional $11.88 million Mocaverse funds in the second round. Block1, OKX Ventures, Foresight Ventures, Polygon Ventures, and Dapper Labs were among the investors in the round.

After the $20 million led by CMCC Global in September, the latest fundraising brings the total raised to $31.88 million. The latest funding will be used to accelerate Web3 development. It includes digital identity and point system for Web3 gaming, culture, and entertainment in Mocaverse.

Mocaverse, according to Animoca Brands, is the empowerment layer for Web3 culture and entertainment. It facilitates seamless onboarding and growth for Web3 projects. The Web3 Frequent Player Program, powered by “Realm Points,” was a creation of Mocaverse. The Hong Kong-based company has now raised $31.88 million together with its additional $11.88 million Mocaverse funds to develop what is described as a digital identity and loyalty platform for blockchain games and other apps.

Animoca has released 8,888 Ethereum NFTs profile pictures (PFPs) that act as a key to the Mocaverse. Blockchain investment firms Block1, OKX Ventures, Foresight Ventures, and Polygon Ventures, as well as NBA Top Shot maker Dapper Labs, participated in the latest round of funding. Animoca issued new shares at $4.50 each and granted investors utility token warrants.
